How to Trade with our Virtual Forex Trading

Forex currency trading can seem confusing to beginners so we've created a step-by-step guide to practice
free forex trading on our site. This will allow you to learn how to trade forex without risking any of your own money!

1. Create a FREE practice account to learn Forex:

a. Sign up here, if you haven't already, and begin to learn forex!

2. Create a Forex portfolio:

a. Log in and go to Account Summary.
b. Click Add Another Portfolio next to the My Forex links box.

3. Watch the Forex Quotes page:

a. Visit the Forex Quotes page.
b. Watch for a symbol that is consistently going up (or down).
c. Click "Chart & Trade" for that symbol.

4. Research on the Forex Charts page:

a. Example: EUR/USD Chart page.
b. Look at the 3-month, 1-month, Today, and Streaming Charts for that symbol.
c. Decide to Buy if the rate is going up or Sell if it is going down.
Note: You can have negative "shares" by selling, which is like Short Selling for stocks.

5. Trading Option #1: On the Charts page:

a. First select a Forex portfolio to trade in (near the bottom of the Charts page).
b. Select the Amount you wish to trade (the smallest amount is fine for now).
c. Click Buy or Sell to place the order.

6. Trading Option #2: Quick Trade on the Account Summary page:

a. Go to the bottom of your Account Summary page.
b. Select a Symbol to trade and watch it in the Streaming Chart.
c. Select the Amount you wish to trade (the smallest amount is fine for now).
d. Click Buy or Sell to add to or subtract from your positions.

7. Trading Option #3: Close Positions on the Account Summary page:

a. Go to your Account Summary page.
b. To close one position immediately, click the Close link on the far right.
c. To close several positions immediately, select their checkboxes and
click Close Selected Positions.

8. Trading Option #4: On the Trade Now page:

a. Go to your Trade Now page.
b. Select the Amount and Symbol, just like the other trade pages.
c. Click Buy or Sell to add to or subtract from your positions.
